It’s no great surprise that there was a bit of an outcry when The Twin Rivers Police Association in Sacramento started selling t-shirts with a picture of a (terrified) child behind bars accompanied by the slogan “U raise ’em, we cage ’em!”. The police force maintained that the t-shirts were being sold to raise funds for the families of fallen officers, yet quickly withdrew the tees amidst huge criticism that they were sick and rubbish. People thought the Twin Rivers Police Force were rubbish anyway, after a catalogue of errors and incompetency. But now they think they’re sick too. Bad PR result. Even if you think all the local kids are going to turn into criminals, best not advertise the fact. Especially if you are trying to project a caring and protecting image. Just a thought!
