cushy1One of my favourite items here at T-Shirt Towers is the cushion. It’s an excellent gift, and your can use one of our templates to create something with your own personal stamp on it, or upload a favourite image.

Today’s top tip is for if you’re uploading a photo onto a cushion. Using our 3D template, you can see exactly how the finished item is going to come out. The cushion on the left is with the image of flowers uncropped. You can see how the shape of the original photograph is rectangular, and stretches across the cushion. For your image to cover a greater surface area of the cushion, crop it into a square shape and see how different it looks, like the second image. Of course, you’re going to lose some of the edges of the photo, so if you’re taking a picture especially for the cushy2cushion, then try and imagine a square frame around your subject.

Either upload your image ready cropped, or click on the little icon next to the image button and have a play with cropping it yourself. Have fun designing!

At the back of our cupboard sits a variety of T Shirt Studio oldies. Some of the first printed mugs we ever produced, well over ten years ago now, are still going strong, barely faded and still loved. This one took a bit of a tumble, and is now in the geriatric pile, but won’t ever get thrown away.

Our mugs are brilliant blank canvasses for your children’s heartbreakingly rubbish first drawings. There’s a lovely naivety about them that you just have to capture whilst it lasts, because it’ll be gone in an instant. That’s why capturing their efforts on something you use every day is so precious. Even when the handle breaks and it’s done a tonne in the dishwasher, it’s still there reminding you of some sweet moments. And for only a fiver, you can enjoy our mugs for a bargain. Priceless!
