We’re really excited by the new addition to the T Shirt Studio stable, slate coasters0E7A0556 beautifully printed with your own words or message. Table rings are to be a thing of the past (in my house, anyway) as these brilliant, customised coasters look amazing and protect surfaces.

Available in either a smooth or a rougher edged finish, these beauties only cost a fiver and are just fab to scatter around your house, ready for you to plonk your mugs of tea or coffee or glasses or beer down.

Take a look and get designing today!

cushy1One of my favourite items here at T-Shirt Towers is the cushion. It’s an excellent gift, and your can use one of our templates to create something with your own personal stamp on it, or upload a favourite image.

Today’s top tip is for if you’re uploading a photo onto a cushion. Using our 3D template, you can see exactly how the finished item is going to come out. The cushion on the left is with the image of flowers uncropped. You can see how the shape of the original photograph is rectangular, and stretches across the cushion. For your image to cover a greater surface area of the cushion, crop it into a square shape and see how different it looks, like the second image. Of course, you’re going to lose some of the edges of the photo, so if you’re taking a picture especially for the cushy2cushion, then try and imagine a square frame around your subject.

Either upload your image ready cropped, or click on the little icon next to the image button and have a play with cropping it yourself. Have fun designing!

8V7A8497You could be forgiven for thinking that the country’s ever so slightly confused at the moment. Brexit, Boris and some other chap have left us in what’s known in the trade as a bit of an omnishambles.

Still, summer is here, schools are breaking up all over the place and hundreds of schoolchildren are looking forward to 6 weeks of lie ins and no homework. Who cares if the nation rots when you don’t have to do times tables until they’re coming out of your ears.

Thank you gifts with a personal touch are just the thing for teachers, friends or collegues, whatever time of year. Our most popular teacher mug ever bears the slogan ‘Keep Calm and Pretend it’s on the Lesson Plan’ wise words, maybe we could have a ‘Keep Calm and Pretend You Know what You’re Doing’ for the new incumbents at Westminster as well!!

8V7A3040-2I have an inbuilt theory that if you take someone a cup of tea or coffee in the morning on any special occasion, be it birthdays, wedding days, Mother’s Day etc, you’ll be in credit for the whole day.

If this sounds like your kind of plan, then take a look at our beautifully made bone china mugs. Tall and elegant, and the perfect morning pick me up. Upload your own design, or use one of our templates and we’ll make it for you. Then all you need to do is just fill up with hot water, plonk a tea bag in, and hey presto, brownie points are all yours.

pizap.com14531366645581Don’t you just wish that January would take a hike? I’m all for the new year, but right now I’m sick of getting up in the dark, and coming home in the dark; I feel like a mole, never seeing the light.

The first thing I do when I get home at the moment is to light the stove and make a cup of tea. This is an old T Shirt Studio number that’s been through the mill so many times, but testament to the durability of our wares. The colour hasn’t faded although it’s sat outside in the garden for weeks on end, been through my rickety old dishwasher and generally not been very well cared for. Still, it welcomes me home and keeps me warm. You’ve got to love it for that.

Ages ago I was playing with some templates for our fleecy scarves and the only word I could think of writing in the text box was ‘frozen’. Maybe because it was winter. And I was. Anyway, it gave me a terrible Disney style earworm, and totally put me off what I was doing.

So, when I was hunting through my files for some random thing and I came across this scarf, I was instantly transported back to a day of trying not to be a very unelegant Princess Elsa. And guess what? Yip, it happened all over again. I can’t get that bloody song out of my head.

So today, I’m kinda half showing you our lovely warm soft yummy scarves. And half wanting you to suffer with the singing curse alongside me. You’re welcome. (‘Let it gooooooooo’)

With the Easter holidays coming up, it’s time for a lot of people to snatch that last bit of snow and bung the kids on the slope, going for a leisurely ski, or a high octane snowboarding session. Alternatively, it’s a great time to go for a brisk (cheap) walk or clear the garden (free and unappreciated).

Whatever you intend to do this Easter, if you need to keep warm, you’ll be wanting one of our Peruvian knit hats. I can’t get enough of them. Truly a sickening variety of colours, embroidered with your own text, or something from our template selection, and super super warm!

Best of all they have long, flappy ear bits (that’s the technical term) which keep your ears warm whatever you’re up to. My essential spring purchase!

I suddenly realised that Halloween is just around the corner and I haven’t even seen whether my pumpkin costume still fits. I haven’t actually got a pumpkin costume per se (honest) but my fave zombie tee tends to get an airing along with anything orange that’s lying around (tends to be an orange most years tbh).

Anyway, there are some much more inventive pieces of kit about this year. Urban Outfitters have totally bedazzled with a most awesome range of zombies, mummies and skeleton all in one suits. Perfect to slip on after a hard day at the office so that you’re ready to go out and scare small children and animals with the minimum of fuss and make up.

The zombie suit is so mine, I will be personalising it with a pint of blood (beer) and a few bones (peanuts) and then I will be off into the night!!!

It is an indisputable fact that whenever Tour de France winner and Olympic GOLD medallist Bradley Wiggins is talked about (which is quite a lot at the moment, as you may have noticed), his sideburns are mentioned as well, as though they were his very own little mascots. Or friendly pet hamsters crawling up the side of his face.

In fact they have become so popular that they are fast becoming famous in their own right. At today’s time trials, spectators were seen sporting their very own stick on Wiggins sideburns. A hairy homage if ever there was one, and sure to spark this summer’s best new trend.

I’m not too sure whether stick-on sideys are the way forward however……that glue might cause a rash…..but a sideburns t-shirt, now there’s an idea. Time to have a go at creating your own facial hair t-shirt, you know you want to!!

R Splat!

R Splat!

Like a grown up, sultry version of Harry Potter is how the Twilight Saga looks from afar. More cool and teenagery, with lots of beautiful people, and much more of an interesting moral dilemma what with the whole blood sucking thing. If Jack Wills did vampires, this might well be what they would look like, all louche and stylised, and jolly tasty in their own little way. Both the novels and films have gone stratospheric, and rather unsurprisingly, so have the actors.

Top hottie vampire, Edward, played by Robert Pattinson has just scooped every prize going at the National Movie Awards (why is it called Movie Awards when it was held in London, by the way? Don’t we have films here in the UK?) I just noticed that everywhere you turn, Robert Pattinson is skulking on a magazine cover, looking broody and moody (or is that brooding? I think broody is for hens). I keep imagining, though that Nicola Roberts, aka the pale one from Girls Aloud must be waiting in the wings to slap her pale-face make up onto him, because he has defied her, and is no longer her perfect colour match. Arrrrgh! Look out RPats, here she comes!
