T Shirt Studio has teamed up with the Royal Air Force to create some truly stunning designs. The shape, colour and arrangement of everything is a perfect fir for what we wanted to achieve. Any kind of collaboration is incredibly rewarding; translating someone’s designs, making them a beautiful reality is beyond satisfying, and when it’s for the Royal Air Force, well, an extra bit more special. Enjoy! tss-raf-per-ardva-ad-astra

piratesI’m a massive fan of our personalised hoodies throughout the range. They are just so warm and easy to wash, they’re a bit of a snuggly staple in my wardrobe.

Our kids hoodies are just great too, and perfect for this in between weather. Kids love to design their own items as well, so a legitimate half term activity is to let them create their clothes. Either with the help of our templates, their own design or something you cunningly steer them towards, this is guaranteed to be something they love and will be mega practical. Win win!

PreviewYouDesign (64)Now that the weather is getting colder, I’m almost totally living in my TSS hoodie, hoodies in fact, as I have more than one. So many more. Reason being that apart from being incredibly toasty warm, is that it comes with totally handy little pouchy pockets within the pockets so your phone doesn’t drop out or get lost within many layers of clothing. Such an amazing invention, you’ll never know how you managed before with your phone in your back pocket bum calling random people you really don’t want to be dialling right now!

Oh, and it has thumb holes. The kind you used to make at school and incurring the wrath of the head. These come as standard. Take that!

One of the nicest things about my job is seeing happy customers excitedly tweeting pictures of their parcels from us. it’s always hugely appreciated to get the positive feedback, and it’s a great forum to share your designs as well.

I was particularly tickled by a tweet last week which was favourited something like 90 times by friends of friends of friends of the customer. It’s *practically* gone viral. So a huge thank you to all our customers who want to let us know that they like what they’ve designed. It’s so much nicer than just sending parcels out into the ether and hopefully it encourages other people to have a play with our website too!

Valentine’s day is looming, like a scary black cloud of love on the horizon. I’m taking inspiration for a really novel personalised gift from a hoodie we made for a local business, which was actually nothing to do with Valentine’s day, and going for a heart shaped word cloud. This one looks great on a hoodie, but you could choose a mug, keyring or a teddy bear t-shirt to name but a few.

Words clouds are easily made on your computer, and are a lovely way of sharing your message with your loved one. Choose any number of words, dates or names to make a word collage that really means something to you. A totally brilliant idea, showing thoughtfulness and initiative. Straight to the top of the class!

I feel I haven’t bestowed enough love on our soft and cuddlesome dogs, so today a suggestion for Valentine’s Day before it cones up and bites you in the behind in manner of small moggy. Our soft pups come wearing a tee or a hoodie that’s all ready and waiting to be personalised, so you can add your own image, phrase or message. Or you could use one of our templates to convey a special message to show your love or make your loved one smile and melt faster than a Malteaser under a an elephant’s bottom.

Personally, I think if you’re going to celebrate the feast of the amorous St Valentine, you have to abandon all hope of being cool for a good 24 hours, and unleash your inner squashiness. You may not want to show this slushy side of your nature to your mates/collegues/kids, but just for one day, be as lovey as you like.

The quickest and most efficient way of warming up is to add another layer. This is particularly appropriate for kids who seem never to feel the cold and rush around in their t-shirts and who end up saying they’re freezing. Our zip up kids hoodies are the quickest way of adding an easy layer that you can take off or bung on in nano seconds.

Beautifully embroidered with your choice of fonts, colours and motifs, this is one winter warmer you can’t do without!

It’s been raining non stop here for days if not weeks. Everything is a puddle and there’s no respite from the Sog.

It would make a whole lot more sense if the new year began in the summer; resolutions would be far easier to stick to if you weren’t sitting in a blanket shivering, or bailing out the bathroom or just generally being so darn miserable noone wants to know if you’ve lost half a pound and haven’t smoked a cigarette since December.

What with the post Christmas financial mess and the cold, damp misery which is going to last for the next four months, then I can heartily recommend our value fleeces as a way of keeping both the cold, and the overdraft limit at bay.

Soft and cosy enough to wear indoors (much more practical than wandering around in a blanket) and outside where you only want to venture if really necessary, this will help warmth and can be personalised with our brilliant embroidery to your own specifications.

I wish I could hibernate!

By now, most of us will have totally scuppered our well intended, much defended New Year’s Resolutions, and will be tucking into cake/wine/shopping with only the vaguest whiff of guilt to mar our consciences.

They say  (whoever they are) that the trick to not mislaying those intentions completely is to do things little by little. So for example, instead of saying ‘I will not eat cake ever again’ you say ‘I will not eat chocolate cake on a Friday.’ and ‘I will exercise an hour every day’ ought be eschewed for ‘I will walk to the fridge to get a doughnut instead of hoping it comes to me.’

See, bite sized chunks!

The other thing they say is to pick something so simple to achieve, you can nail it straight-away. Luckily, our t-shirt design process is as easy as ever. Just pick your tee, or hoodie, upload a design or image, or use one of our templates, and job done.

Resolution for 2014 ‘become computer savvy and moonlight as fab fashion designer’ ….sorted! Now where’s that blasted cake????

The distressed look option not only looks stunning on our t-shirts, but on our hoodies as well. You can take any image you like to fragment, fray or distress to the point of no going back.

As the weather hits the doldrums, what better way to cheer yourself up than by having a play with our templates. We tried a whole new load of options that will make designing your own item even easier and much more fun.

I love this union jack design which looks great on a hoodie. Stylish and warm. Not sure if it’s treason to distress the Union Jack though, so really soz if you end up in the Tower of London!
