neil gaimanBetween the chaos of Christmas and the excitement of new year (not to mention the joy of endless leftovers), there’s often a bit of time to ponder the old year and look ahead to the new.

I so often find that this time of reflection, accompanied so often by indigestion, involves an attempt to slough off the strains of the past 12 months, and set unreachable goals for 2016.

This quote by the wonderful Neil Gaiman I like, however. Light and attainable, something to hold on to for the upcoming 12 months…have a good one!

i 6Excited that we’ve got iPhone 6 cases to personalise. Such an awesome Christmas gift, as you can only imagine how many people have iPhones on their wish list. Actually, you can’t. There’s too many of them.

Phones cases are one of our most popular Christmas items, and you can definitely understand why. The amount of new iPhones soaring across the skies to reach us in time all need to be protected from nights out, falling out of pockets and big hairy teenage feet.

Choose something different this year, and give an iPhone a chance!

tss-rs-tree [524426]We’ve got some fab new designs for Christmas, all made by our talented Matt, so I though I’d share one with you today.

First up, the classic Christmas Tree. This is a lovely one for your t-shirt, teddy bear’s shirt or hoodie. What I love about rhinestones is that they look so delicate, but give a load of robust sparkle and a little bit of magic. This one you can personalise with your own text, colour and of course, choice of garment. Just chosse a colour for the tree, and another colour for the base and your text. Add some sparkle to Christmas!

Ah, so today’s brainwave is the Secret Santa mug with subliminal message and bottle of miniature spirits secreted within. Although, let’s be honest, it’s not all that secret any more if I’m writing about it on this blog, but that’s not the point, we’re all about sharing right now!

If you put your mind to it for more than 5 seconds, you can come up with a much better slogan than mine, but when it’s that time of year, you don’t want to spend ages being thoughtful with everybody; some presents just have to be crowd pleasers. And this is perfect, a drinking vessel and booze……what’s not to like?secret san

P1350442Here at TShirt Studio we aim to be as helpful as possible. We will always try and go that extra mile to print or embroider onto something we’ve never tried before or haven’t got in stock. If gin is involved, then so much the better.

Here are some labels we did for a local company who wanted a small run of high quality personalised labels for a batch of sloe gin. We tailored the labels to the bottles size and use a synthetic material which won’t tear or smudge or get ruined if the bottles get jostled around or the labels get wet.

Yip, that was pretty nice of us…top up please!

At the back of our cupboard sits a variety of T Shirt Studio oldies. Some of the first printed mugs we ever produced, well over ten years ago now, are still going strong, barely faded and still loved. This one took a bit of a tumble, and is now in the geriatric pile, but won’t ever get thrown away.

Our mugs are brilliant blank canvasses for your children’s heartbreakingly rubbish first drawings. There’s a lovely naivety about them that you just have to capture whilst it lasts, because it’ll be gone in an instant. That’s why capturing their efforts on something you use every day is so precious. Even when the handle breaks and it’s done a tonne in the dishwasher, it’s still there reminding you of some sweet moments. And for only a fiver, you can enjoy our mugs for a bargain. Priceless!

By far the funniest thing I’ve seen all week was this baby on board sticker and it’s literal counterpart of baby doll on a plank. Whilst safety features are obviously important, the stickers on the back of cars warning you that someone’s little princess in inside can sometimes feel slightly irksome, especially when those with said stickers cut you up, lane hog or park you in.

It’s made me chuckle quietly for enough days now to realise it has to go on one of our coffee mugs. Providing the odd snigger alongside your teabreak beverage of choice is always fun and a great idea if you’re stuck for a small yet effective birthday gift.

When our towels first came out, I totally queue jumped to get them as gifts for everybody’s children. Along with our water bottles, pretty much the most practical thing you can ever bestow on a parent of small things. Big bright bold fonts, a selection of colours, and really hard wearing, these not only save hours sewing name tapes onto towels (sellotape just doesn’t cut it for things that are going to get wet), but you can also see them from afar when your eyes are all ikky from being in the pool. A thing I recently learned was down to urine, not chlorine. Nice.

This little number must be at least four years old and is still going like a trojan. The towel has wrapped a shivering child many a time, been left out on the washing line for weeks and been unintentionally boil washed to within an inch of it’s life, and yet the embroidery hasn’t snagged or faded and the towel hasn’t pulled.

This is a ‘from tot to teenager’ number and I have to say, hands down the best presents I’ve ever given. Coming to a beach or a swimming pool near you soon!
