The Bed Romance!

Going gaga for this beautifully simple t-shirt from Polish designers Excellent Glory. I love the combination of the classic Wham “Wake me up before you go go” t-shirt, together with the Lady Gaga referencing. It makes for a fabulous t-shirt, and is definitely worth a look. This is the sort of t-shirt that looks so great from a distance because of the size of print. I’m totally inspired to make my own version……How about “Wake me up before you goo goo” on a baby t-shirt? Or “Wake me up before you moo moo with a picture of a cow? Oh, the choices are endless!

Surfer to be!

T-shirt Studio, well this bit of it anyway, has gone on a little trip to way down south, from whence it came. “Whence” is Cornwall, home to the culinary achievement that is the pasty, and haven to all surfy types for miles around.

People who have never been to Cornwall always seem to think that the weather is perfect and it’s full of palm trees, although I don’t think I’ve ever seen a palm tree and it rains. A lot.

Still, a few days of pasties will weigh me down enough to make sure the rain doesn’t wash me away. There might even be a bit of sunshine.

So here’s a cutesome kids t-shirt which is ideal for all things seaside. Thirteen pounds from play.com, a nice little number for the delights of the seaside!

I like those kinds of kids t-shirts with slogans that make overworked parents snigger. A perfect mixture of wit and childish humour which make it a favourite with all ages. This slogan which I have printed onto a 100% organic cotton t-shirt always makes me laugh,

But then this cheesy combo by Twisted Twee caught my eye, and I thought maybe that’s the best father and son set ever!

And how about this no-messin’ tee for all of those tough toddlers out there? I really like this one, a genius print from 8Ball The skull dummy, for playground pirates!

Tots Tee!

Well, the clocks have gone forward, and made today one of the worst Monday mornings so far this year. I’m not sure about having an extra hour daylight, I think a bit more time sleeping would be nicer. It took a while to get started today, with a bit of enforced catalogue browsing during extra coffee time. The summer catalogues are now out in force, and the paper equivalent of a small tree must have been posted through my letterbox this weekend, all bright and shiny and promising a fine summer. It does make me wonder sometimes, why catalogues for umbrellas and macs aren’t released for summer-wear; so much more likely in this country!

Anyway, here’s one of the finest t-shirts I found during my Monday morning wake up session. A lovely anchor print from kids staples Boden. What I like about this tee is that it can be passed down through the family from boy to girl, without anyone noticing the bit of gender swapping. Now, where’s my extra morning biscuit??

Willow the Whip!

21st Century ten year old girl!

OK, I’m scared, I admit it. The youthful Miss Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinket Smith; is giving it the kind of attitude Cher Lloyd would be gurning in her boots for. The product of possibly the pushiest parents in Holywood, Willow’s brother Jaden has already made a film, and little Willow is in talks to be in a remake of Annie.

Here she is, at the ripe old age of 10 in an ensemble reminiscent of Seasame Street’s Yellow Duck-y thing. She is sporting a t-shirt which states “Boys Need Training”, an estimable statement; however a little dodgy in the light of her previous song being about whipping hairy stuff and the fact that SHE IS TEN! Arrrgh. Sorry, maybe rather prudish of me, but that over confidence is really freaking me out. Grow down little girl!

Variations on a Theme!

Elton John will always have a place in my heart, where the slightly cheesy sing-along music dwells, along with ABBA, A-HA and Art Garfunkel’s “Bright Eyes” (makes me cry every time, poor bunnies). But, I’m not sure if I am quite ready to equate the Elton of my dancing mix tape circa 1988 with the bouncing baby that was on the front of OK magazine this week. Still, I’m sure I’ll get used to it, and that baby is going to have the best toy piano ever.

Interestingly, neither Elton nor his partner David Furnish know which one of them is the father. The sperm of both men was used, so it’s a toss up (sorry!) as to who it could be. This brings to mind that age old kids t-shirt today, but with a modern twist. I’ve chosen a super soft organic tee, as baby Zachary is going to have luxury all the way.

I wonder if Elton will be singing “I’m Still Standing” to him when he learns to walk?

Willow Wallows in her Wellies!

It sounds so great, doesn’t it? You can win one of Willow Smith’s “I Heart Me” t-shirts in OK magazine this week. I do love a good competition and any offspring of Will Smith is bound to be cooler than cool, but would you honestly want to win the t-shirt of a nine year old? Unless, you were 9 years old, in which case it’s a different matter entirely.

Nope, Willow maybe ultra cool in an under 10′s kind of way, but the whole teeny music sensation makes me think rather nostalgically of St Winifred’s School Choir and their chart topping “Grandma”.

Still, just because I think she should hit double figures before she becomes a style icon, doesn’t mean you should feel the same. So here is that little popster in a pair of combats on growth hormones, all ready to whip her hair round and round and round. Darn…that song sure is catchy!

Mini Me!

Good old Gwen Stefani. She was never going to be a straight down the middle Boden type of mum, was she? Her children were always going to be an extension of her quirky uber-glamorous rockabilly style, and here is son Kingston being his mummy’s mini me in cute boy form.

From his hair do, that will have the Boden brigade up in arms, to the nail varnish and the very pert t-shirt slogan that says “Your hysteric needs you” this is one little boy who is very much thinking outside the (dressing up) box.

Whether he will be ripped to shreds for this when he starts school is anyone’s guess. Although if Lady Gaga opened her own talent academy, he’d fit right in!

Milkies!

Just hearing the news that Sam Cam had gone and popped early made me go all warm and fuzzy inside. So, to celebrate this momentous occasion, I thought I’d find a few nice little baby t-shirts and/or baby grows for the newest little addition to the Cameron clan.

Whilst one of my very favourite slogans for babywear is the old one of “I’ve just spent 9 months inside”, I did find a website called “Dribble Factory” which has a selection of cracking slogans for a range of baby items, from long sleeved t-shirts to bibs and bodysuits. I love the “I broke it, so sue me” slogan, but my mega favourite has to be the father and baby “I heart boobies” twin pack. Kinda funny and gross at the same time. The “Evil Dictator” t-shirt would be fitting for quite a few toddlers, and you might need to find parents with a good sense of humour to appreciate the “I blame the parents” option.

I am so evil!

But what would be the most suitable for the Camerons? Oh, it has to be an “I agree with Nick” t-shirt, no question!

Mine, mine, mine!

The lovely Megan Fox is often in the papers for achingly banal reasons, like she’s out. She’s not out. She’s wearing a t-shirt, and so on. I did like this set of pictures though showing how the Foxy one has been t-shirt sniping from her stepson. Whether or not they are the same t-shirt is up to you, you have look closely at their collars and cuffs to see for sure; they may well have ordered a his and mini hers set. But to me it seems as though she’s been rifling in little Kassius’s wardrobe to find one of his t-shirts that she can nab and wear as a cheeky retro vintage looking little crop top. Either that or she’s had it spinning at 90 degrees for a few hours!
