The end!

It’s always sad when something has to come to an end, and having had a little flick through favoured website MyDavidCameron, I felt it was right to say goodbye to the short-lived slogan that was “I agree with Nick“. Do you remember those heady days, when it looked as though the Lib Dems might mean something? When Nick Clegg promised things would change, be different, and they would be the party that would be less….well…Tory? Oh, we were so young and so naive. That’s why, when I saw this lovely picture today, I thought we should cast aside all of those t-shirts, mugs and mouse-mats with the face of the Clegg grinning up at us. Although in years to come, they may have a certain nostalgia value, so don’t turn them into dusters yet. Can you imagine if you were to roll out a t-shirt printed in the 1970′s that said “Maggie will save our school milk” It would fetch a fortune on ebay as a relic of historical irony. Yes, keep hold of your t-shirts, they may come in useful, don’t you agree, Nick?

Milkies!

Just hearing the news that Sam Cam had gone and popped early made me go all warm and fuzzy inside. So, to celebrate this momentous occasion, I thought I’d find a few nice little baby t-shirts and/or baby grows for the newest little addition to the Cameron clan.

Whilst one of my very favourite slogans for babywear is the old one of “I’ve just spent 9 months inside”, I did find a website called “Dribble Factory” which has a selection of cracking slogans for a range of baby items, from long sleeved t-shirts to bibs and bodysuits. I love the “I broke it, so sue me” slogan, but my mega favourite has to be the father and baby “I heart boobies” twin pack. Kinda funny and gross at the same time. The “Evil Dictator” t-shirt would be fitting for quite a few toddlers, and you might need to find parents with a good sense of humour to appreciate the “I blame the parents” option.

I am so evil!

But what would be the most suitable for the Camerons? Oh, it has to be an “I agree with Nick” t-shirt, no question!

Farewell, see you at the IMF!

Farewell, see you at the IMF!

Having just got my head around the fact that Gordon Brown was the devil incarnate, I suddenly find he has had a change of fortunes over the last 24 hours. Parliament, currently hung lower than asbo boys trousers, was certainly never going to let Mr Brown darken its doors again, but in a clash of the baddies more suited to a low budget James Bond  type film, Nick Clegg creepily emerged as the devious two faced negotioator, and Adam Boulton and his full frontal interviewing technique.  Not to mention Kay Burley. (No, best not, I might just say something a teensy weensy bit unflattering.) Suddenly, Gordon wasn’t quite such a moron after all. Announcing his resignation yesterday, flanked by Honest Sarah Brown, and with his gorgeous boys in tow, he said the words that melted everyone’s pacemakers “As I leave the second most important job I could ever hold, I cherish even more the first – as a husband and father” Ah, Bless.

So now he’s practically Saint Gordon. With Prime Minister Cameron and Deputy Nick Clegg, you might start to question if this is going to be “Dumb and Dumber- the politics years” I wonder how many times David will be heard to say “I agree with Nick” in the forthcoming days.

In the meantime, a little tribute to Gordon. As he retreats to Scotland to rest his weary bones, here’s a little number with him Rising the Stairway to Loch Leven. Bye Bye Brown!
