elfieWell, I think I’ve found the most annoying Christmas jumper of the year. Maybe ever. So terrible that I’m tempted to buy it for a secret santa next year, just to annoy the crap out of someone. Or everyone.

This culprit currently in the sale at ASOS features the two most hated things taht may ever have been invented; the selfie and the selfie stick. Together with a ¬†cringeworthy elf joke. It’s a trio of hideousness. Truly. Even with the greatest irony in the world, I couldn’t force myself to wear it. Which kinda makes it the most genius Christmas jumper ever!

gangsta santsThe Christmas jumper is yet another trend I’ve failed to embrace. I sort of wish I could carry it off, though the truth is, that it’s just too horribly close to what I wore when I was little, and I can’t really get jiggy with the irony.

I quite like this badass Gangsta Santa from New Look though. Quite a dude, with shades and sackfuls of attitude instead of toys. I could go for this. Almost.

With the ubiquitous Christmas jumper, more is definitely more, though there might be those amongst you who want something not as loud as some of the humdingers out there.

This one by Topshop, priced at a straight ¬£50 is wearable and though not in the slightest bit subtle, won’t have you reaching for the sunglasses.

Great with denim and a flash of red lipstick for Christmas parties and drinks, equally good with pencil skirt, or pyjamas. Definitely a something for everyone style jumper.

Really scraping the end of the barrel here with this matching his n’ hers Christmas jumper combo from Not on The Hight Street. One end sports the Rudolph head jumper and the other his arse. And his nose squeaks as well.

This has to be the ultimate in twosome pressies; only the very much in love would actually be able to wear a pair of these jumpers without creating a vomit wave. But since the dreadful Christmas jumper has become a tradition, you may as well do your worst!

I think blame must be laid at the foot of hapless 90’s heroine Bridget Jones for the rise of what must be the most unfashionable piece of clothing possibly ever.

The Christmas jumper, once a mark of being a sartorially challenged saddo is now the fashionistas ironic garment of choice. Quirkily ironic, the more bells and baubles the better; a sparkly Chrimbo combo will boost your cred and keep you warm at the same time.

I like this ASOS statement jumper, a bargain for £26. Almost a slogan, but not quite, and the perfect jumper for someone who still wants to be just a little bit above such things.
