We’re really excited by the new addition to the T Shirt Studio stable, slate coasters0E7A0556 beautifully printed with your own words or message. Table rings are to be a thing of the past (in my house, anyway) as these brilliant, customised coasters look amazing and protect surfaces.

Available in either a smooth or a rougher edged finish, these beauties only cost a fiver and are just fab to scatter around your house, ready for you to plonk your mugs of tea or coffee or glasses or beer down.

Take a look and get designing today!

0e7a5315To my tiny little mind, present buying shouldn’t start until December. That makes me pretty disorganised according to most people, who had their lists done and dusted in September, but there you are. I don’t know anyone grown up who actually needs anything, so present buying becomes a quest to hunt down gifts that show love, affection and a bit of thought.

One of my favourite ideas is a personalised mug for friends. Pictures, slogans or a list of tea requirements hit the spot every time. Or a picture on a phone case. For a tenner, it’s a gift you know will get used and appreciated.

Or for the ultimate in hug value, take a look at our teddy bears, cows and dogs. Personalise their t-shirts with a picture or a message, and watch the recipient go a little bit misty eyed when they unwrap their very personal gift.

A bit of thought, and a couple of clicks, that’s all it takes. Happy present buying!

cushy1One of my favourite items here at T-Shirt Towers is the cushion. It’s an excellent gift, and your can use one of our templates to create something with your own personal stamp on it, or upload a favourite image.

Today’s top tip is for if you’re uploading a photo onto a cushion. Using our 3D template, you can see exactly how the finished item is going to come out. The cushion on the left is with the image of flowers uncropped. You can see how the shape of the original photograph is rectangular, and stretches across the cushion. For your image to cover a greater surface area of the cushion, crop it into a square shape and see how different it looks, like the second image. Of course, you’re going to lose some of the edges of the photo, so if you’re taking a picture especially for the cushy2cushion, then try and imagine a square frame around your subject.

Either upload your image ready cropped, or click on the little icon next to the image button and have a play with cropping it yourself. Have fun designing!

8V7A8497You could be forgiven for thinking that the country’s ever so slightly confused at the moment. Brexit, Boris and some other chap have left us in what’s known in the trade as a bit of an omnishambles.

Still, summer is here, schools are breaking up all over the place and hundreds of schoolchildren are looking forward to 6 weeks of lie ins and no homework. Who cares if the nation rots when you don’t have to do times tables until they’re coming out of your ears.

Thank you gifts with a personal touch are just the thing for teachers, friends or collegues, whatever time of year. Our most popular teacher mug ever bears the slogan ‘Keep Calm and Pretend it’s on the Lesson Plan’ wise words, maybe we could have a ‘Keep Calm and Pretend You Know what You’re Doing’ for the new incumbents at Westminster as well!!

8V7A3040-2I have an inbuilt theory that if you take someone a cup of tea or coffee in the morning on any special occasion, be it birthdays, wedding days, Mother’s Day etc, you’ll be in credit for the whole day.

If this sounds like your kind of plan, then take a look at our beautifully made bone china mugs. Tall and elegant, and the perfect morning pick me up. Upload your own design, or use one of our templates and we’ll make it for you. Then all you need to do is just fill up with hot water, plonk a tea bag in, and hey presto, brownie points are all yours.

carolinelucas1401aI’ll be honest, I’m not 100% sure what the Speaker of the House of Commons actually does. Are you? I have an inkling that it’s something to do with being a sort of prefect separating squabbling schoolchildren, only with politicians.

John Bercow, current Speaker has just issued a ban on slogan t-shirts in the House of Commons. After Green MP Caroline Lucas sported a t-shirt with a ‘No More Page Three’ slogan, a 12 page dress code was launched, demanding that men wear suits and ties and women sport similar formal attire and banning “the ostentatious display of badges, brand names, slogans or other forms of advertising of either commercial or non commercial causes is not in order”

Definitely reminds me of my school prefects.

pizap.com14531366645581Don’t you just wish that January would take a hike? I’m all for the new year, but right now I’m sick of getting up in the dark, and coming home in the dark; I feel like a mole, never seeing the light.

The first thing I do when I get home at the moment is to light the stove and make a cup of tea. This is an old T Shirt Studio number that’s been through the mill so many times, but testament to the durability of our wares. The colour hasn’t faded although it’s sat outside in the garden for weeks on end, been through my rickety old dishwasher and generally not been very well cared for. Still, it welcomes me home and keeps me warm. You’ve got to love it for that.

conchita teeWhat brings the New Year but colds, dark mornings and a freezer full of Stilton along with some broken resolutions! Time to break out of the old yukky habits and burst into the new year loudly. Albeit belatedly.

I love this new template which has a bit of a trompe oeil effect. I was wondering about posting a picture of some intestines or something rather unsavoury, and then I saw Conchita and thought it could be the most motivating t-shirt, like ever!

Happy New Year, and let this be the one to do like the Wurst!

neil gaimanBetween the chaos of Christmas and the excitement of new year (not to mention the joy of endless leftovers), there’s often a bit of time to ponder the old year and look ahead to the new.

I so often find that this time of reflection, accompanied so often by indigestion, involves an attempt to slough off the strains of the past 12 months, and set unreachable goals for 2016.

This quote by the wonderful Neil Gaiman I like, however. Light and attainable, something to hold on to for the upcoming 12 months…have a good one!

T Shirt Studio has teamed up with the Royal Air Force to create some truly stunning designs. The shape, colour and arrangement of everything is a perfect fir for what we wanted to achieve. Any kind of collaboration is incredibly rewarding; translating someone’s designs, making them a beautiful reality is beyond satisfying, and when it’s for the Royal Air Force, well, an extra bit more special. Enjoy! tss-raf-per-ardva-ad-astra
