t-shirts, fashion, stuff...

H&M are churning out those collaborations these days. Hot off the heels of the latest batch of Versace comes a capsule collection from Marni, featuring the bright prints and colour blocking typical of the label.

Marni was founded in 1994 by Italian designer Consuelo Castiglioni and named after her sister. The brand has quietly grown to be a fashion force to be reckoned with. In 2007 Castiglioni, who is still the chief designer created a menswear line, which made fashion headlines chiefly because of the men’s leggings (meggings?) which featured in the collection.

This look from from the publicity shots gives you a feel of what the range is like. Bold yet naive printed t-shirt given a twist with the sequinned collar and lots of cheekbone.

Of course the prices are H&M prices, so although you get a feel for the label, you don’t get the same quality as with the mainline collections. But if you pick carefully, you could find a really good item or two.
