Say Yes!

In my lifelong quest for great t-shirt prints and designs (I really trek the globe, I do), I found these great tees from Illustrated People. (Actually, the whole globetrotting in the name of tees thing is a bit exaggerated; I found them on the Topshop website, but it was roughly the same thing)

The fabric of these vests is very floppy; made from 100% viscose, they have that cool and slouchy feel to them. The prints look graphic and retro and seem the perfect combination for skinny jeans and other denim delights. Check them out. Their menswear range is in the pipeline right now, but would be well worth taking a look at in the future.

I love you!

Every year, St Valentine’s day is sent to take us by surprise. Sometimes, it’s more of a pleasant shock than an outright surprise, other years it can just be a total nightmare. So, to have a”get in early” kind of clause, we’re giving you a few ideas to get you going, or to get you out of trouble, which is more often the case.

Take a look at our keyrings and jigsaws. Perfect for personalising, they have edge on all things valentines. Otherwise, go for  some personalised towels; beautifully soft and fluffy, with the choice of fonts and colours with which to customise your affection.

Alternatively, take a look at our coasters, a great idea for anyone wishing to personalise a favourite photograph. The choice, as they say, is yours.

It’s still two weeks until February 14th. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Tasty Tees!

January can definitely be the hardest month. We’re all strapped for cash. It’s cold, and keeps getting colder. Summer seems like a long way away.

So to kick start a bit of that summertime mood, that might be slightly lacking right now, we’ve launched 7 new colours for in our range of adult t-shirts. With a mixture of  soft pastels, neutrals and juicy fruits there’s something for everyone’s colour palette. Needless to say, but I’ll say it anyway, these t-shirts are our usual high standards with 100% premium weight cotton. The colours are Orchid, Pistachio, Serene Green, Sand, Ice Grey, Light Pink and Vegas Gold. Perfect for adding a splash of summer fun into your winter wardrobe.

T. G. Tops!

TG Green‘s striped blue and white Cornishware has long been an essential part traditional colour scheme for kitchens everywhere. The older and more chipped, the better, in my humble opinion.

But what to do when your chipped mug is your favourite and you want to say hands off to everyone else? Well, a pretty good idea from the meisters of stripe. Personalising your mug. What a fantastic idea! You can customise your own mug, cookie or honey pot. It’s a slightly expensive process, at a pound a letter, but the results are rather lovely and will last a lifetime….unless you smash it…oops!

The end!

It’s always sad when something has to come to an end, and having had a little flick through favoured website MyDavidCameron, I felt it was right to say goodbye to the short-lived slogan that was “I agree with Nick“. Do you remember those heady days, when it looked as though the Lib Dems might mean something? When Nick Clegg promised things would change, be different, and they would be the party that would be less….well…Tory? Oh, we were so young and so naive. That’s why, when I saw this lovely picture today, I thought we should cast aside all of those t-shirts, mugs and mouse-mats with the face of the Clegg grinning up at us. Although in years to come, they may have a certain nostalgia value, so don’t turn them into dusters yet. Can you imagine if you were to roll out a t-shirt printed in the 1970’s that said “Maggie will save our school milk” It would fetch a fortune on ebay as a relic of historical irony. Yes, keep hold of your t-shirts, they may come in useful, don’t you agree, Nick?

the Union Jill?

You can almost predict that there is going to be an epidemic of all things essentially British this year when we get Royal Wedding-ed to within an inch of our sanity. Already, the commemorative production machine is in overdrive; this wedding has spawned some pretty amazing Wills and Kate souvenirs like some amazing stuffed mice, some very dodgy plates and of course the must-have gloves we featured last week so all good.

I like these Jack Wills mugs; doing the Union Jack thing, but in their own style. Perfect for a bit of English pride and joy, but without going overboard and being swamped in all things red, white and blue. Even the Jack Wills bit is fitting, well almost.

A Girl. In Material. A Material Girl.

Well, it looks like Taylor Momsen hasn’t lasted long as the face of Material Girl, the clothing range of Madonna and mini me Lourdes. Maybe Taylor (she of tampon-gate) wasn’t quite the role model they were looking for. So, in a move right out of the fashion frying pan, all the way into the  fire, they (whoever they are) have decided to bring on Kelly Osborne instead. I can sort of see the reasoning. Edgy, weirdy rock chick type girl for Madonna’s daughter’s pet project. I can’t help thinking though that someone is barking up the wrong tree here. Obviously Kelly knows all about nepotism, and getting publicity because of her famous parents, thus the perfect choice for Lourdes, and will guarantee maximum publicity, but a teen fashion line, really? Well, we can only wait and see. But in the meantime, here’s a printed t-shirt from their current range. Do you think Lourdes has got bored already? Bless.

OK, I’m scared, I admit it. The youthful Miss Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinket Smith; is giving it the kind of attitude Cher Lloyd would be gurning in her boots for. The product of possibly the pushiest parents in Holywood, Willow’s brother Jaden has already made a film, and little Willow is in talks to be in a remake of Annie.

Here she is, at the ripe old age of 10 in an ensemble reminiscent of Seasame Street’s Yellow Duck-y thing. She is sporting a t-shirt which states “Boys Need Training”, an estimable statement; however a little dodgy in the light of her previous song being about whipping hairy stuff and the fact that SHE IS TEN! Arrrgh. Sorry, maybe rather prudish of me, but that over confidence is really freaking me out. Grow down little girl!

Yummy in the tummy!

Bit of a slow weekend this one. Got a terrible cold. It’s cold. Am cold. All I want is to sit on the sofa and eat a bacon sandwich with a strong cup of coffee. And feel very very sorry for myself. Luckily, the sarnie made me feel much happier, and brought this t-shirt to mind. Another marvel from Snorgtees, this was a spot on t-shirt print for how I’m feeling today.

I have to apologise to any vegetarians though. Truth is, those frazzley strips are pretty good if you can’t eat bacon, but I’m not sure if they count amongst ultimate comfort foods of all time in the same way. I’ve heard that bacon sandwiches are the thing most likely to turn vegetarians to the dark side, and right now I can totally believe it. Still, you can just wear the t-shirt, you don’t have to eat it!

Funny Bunny!

I was just having a flick through some t-shirt slogans today, and I came across my favouritest t-shirt ever. I know I keep coming back to it, but it really is the best . From the wildly inventive Snorgtees, the chocolate bunny t-shirt is probably one I ought to save for Easter, but hey, The Easter eggs are in the shops already, so the bunny is back! And is being bitten in all the wrong places.

This t-shirt just keeps making me laugh again and again, so forgive me for wheeling it out on a cold and wintery day, I needed a chuckle!
