Life is being a big ole beach for Paris!
As any major A-list celebrity worth his or her low sodium zero fat salt will let you know, those holiday snaps are vital for maximum publicity.
Not a week, barely even a day goes by without the tabloids treating us to some carefully stage managed bikini shots and general frolicking with new child/boyfriend/boobs in hot countries far far away, and with a much higher frequency than any mere mortal could manage.
Queen of the eternal holiday just has to be Paris Hilton. Jetting all around the world must take it’s toll on the socialite and her Louis Vuitton eye bags, and to keep posting all those pictures on Twitter probably requires a full time assistant.
For those of us who manage one holiday a year if they’re lucky, and whose pictures don’t make it into Heat magazine, immortality is at hand in the shape of our photo canvases. Ranging from between 30and 50 pounds, they are a perfect fit for holiday photographs. Have a look on our new wow wow wow website, and see what I mean.

I said Blow Me!
It was with great trepidation that the t-shirtstudio-ites awoke this morning. For today was the day we have been awaiting with baited breath. Our brand new website was launched at some unearthly hour, before we even had time to be excited. Or awake in my case.
So, it’s time to have a flick around, and see what’s going on. The front page has had a fab new layout, and it should be a lot easier to navigate around the place and have a go at creating your own personalised t-shirts, hoodies, mousemats and gifts. As a little celebration, I thought I might make a little cake or at least find a picture of a little cake and put it on a t-shirt. And then I thought what the heck, let’s do another Mel Gibson t-shirt. There is so much mileage there, it needs it’s own AA roadmap!

Superb!
Superdry is surely one of the hippest labels around. Instantly recognisable, I see it on a daily basis, adorning the streetwise clad teens and over 30′s as they go about their daily lives. Created by the founder of Bench, it has become the new benchmark (I’m so sorry, I couldn’t think of another word) for what is cool right now. Great retro American-style writing, Japanese market-cornering logo, wonderful fit and styles combined with reasonable prices have all combined to make Superdry somewhat hotter than a hot cheese toastie. With extra chilli. Yowzer!
The main choice of teenagers and trendy adults plus the odd A-list celebrity; Superdry looks set to become legendary, quite a massive feat seeing as it was only conceived in 2003. Keep your eye out, and watch this label just soar and soar.

Come and Get It!
Well, it was obvious it wouldn’t be long before the Mel Gibson t-shirts started flooding the market. All the ingredients are there; massive celebrity, massive celebrity break up, massive celebrity rant, it’s t-shirt slogan heaven!
I love this one that Jack Osbourne has been spotted wearing, featuring his mug shot and the words “You should just smile and blow me” I’m not sure if this is a direct quote which could be attributed to one of his alleged rants (does that cover me enough?) but it’s pretty funny, and very quick off the mark. Expect to see some kind of Mad Mel Mad Max references, some choice excerpts from his phone rants and maybe the odd Lethal Weapon pun appearing on a t-shirt near you soon.

Sad Girl!
Scanning the papers today, I came across The Observer’s list of the key trends in men’s t-shirts right now. So, major smug moment as I clocked a black and white moody and atmospheric photo t-shirt, a hand drawn flag-style t-shirt, a Beatrice Boyle melted lady t-shirt, a skull t-shirt, slogan t-shirt, a Twilight t-shirt and a collage t-shirt.

Er....Pyjamas?
After dancing around for a while, feeling like I am the biggest trend setter since Kate Moss single-handedly invented skinny jeans, I reluctantly came to the conclusion that this was pretty much every men’s t-shirts covered. Except, maybe the potato print one. Er….why?

Muggins!
Ok, ok, it’s a cheap shot, well, it’s a mug shot, so that is actually and technically a pretty cheap shot. I mean, compared to usual Hollywood standards, they’re not going to use great lighting and call in the top photographers, are they now? Anyway, I’m in grave danger of going off rambling, so back to the point. Which is Mel Gibson, and my pre-empting his mug shot, by using er…..his previous one. Poor old Mel, the weeks is just getting worse and worse. As more tapes surface, the poor chap seems to be in ever greater trouble. Maybe inside is the best place for him. He could go next to Lindsay, I bet they’d have a fine old time. So, here he is, on a mug.

Hells Mels!
Mel Gibson’s personal life has totally eclipsed his films of late. What with his 2006 Anti Semitic rant at a policewoman in LA in which he blamed the Jews for “all the wars in the world“, his religious direction (he has his own church), his well publicised battle with alcoholism, his intolerance to women, homosexuals etc, and now his big bust up with his girlfriend, Mel the monster has a much higher profile than Mel the actor, director and producer.
The latest scandal to hit him, however, looks like it might spell curtains for the fallen star.In a series of tapes ‘obtained’ by the press, Mel is heard to be hurling abuse at his ex girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva over the phone. In a series of tirades which will surely overshadow Mad Max, he utters (well, shouts really) every offence and expletive under the sun. (and reaching into a few solar systems beyond too). So, should we join in the mel-ange and damn him to kingdom come for alleged domestic abuse and inability to keep his temper under control? Or should we take the stance that private arguments should stay private, and thank the Lord that not all of our drunken rants end up on Youtube?
I’m still undecided, but I’m wondering what reaction I’ll get if I wear an I love Mel t-shirt today? Will people appreciate the irony, or just duff me up straightaway? Maybe I’ll hedge my bets, what do you think to this t-shirt? Do I dare to wear the hair?

No, please, please don't photograph me!
I do so love it when stars have personal slogans on their t-shirts, confident in the knowledge that they will be photographed by the paparazzi and everyone will read their message. Katie Price and Peter Andre are pros when it comes to this method of communication, probably because their PR teams have been tipping the paps off wherever they go. But what if you aren’t such great tabloid fodder? This little number that Gary Oldman was spotted wearing at Los Angeles International Airport is a great lesson in the art of media control. As he is a serious actor, one can obviously see he is a master of irony via t-shirt messaging. If he hadn’t worn the t-shirt, nobody would have bothered to take his picture, as it is, he makes the front page of several newspapers and gossip magazines. Fabulous, dahling!

Tip Top!
Well, thank goodness for that. The World Cup is finally over and we can pretend that it didn’t happen and we didn’t want to win it anyway for another four years. But what on earth to do with all of those World Cup and Flag t-shirts innocently purchased and showing allegiance, patriotism and pathetic hopefulness? Well, one option would be to hurl them out of sight in disgust, unless you are Spanish, of course, and then you are allowed to hurl them into the air in joy, glee and utter utter smugness.
But here’s a handy solution for left over England tees. Turn them into practical lap top covers, and keep your computer clean and dust free at the same time. Additionally, if you have forgotten to wash your t-shirt, you will impregnate your lap top with your own ‘special’ scent, thus rendering it virtually unstealable. I say virtually, there’s always some weirdo who will find it even nicer ‘au naturel’.
Apart from being a fine way to eek some more life out of your t-shirts, and being ultra environmentally conscious, just think what a fantastic gift they would make for your friends and loved ones. Ah, how sweet!

Diamante Dad!
Nary a days seems to pass without a story of Peter Andre or Katie Price (should that be Reid now? No, she will make him change his name, surely) threatening to sue each other for something or other which nobody believed anyway. There seems to be so much to-ing and fro-ing between the two, you might start wondering if they weren’t protesting a little too much….
This little number from Peter (that’s SAINT Peter to you, mind) is to rise above all that petty nastiness (like when Katie wore her ‘Team Price‘ t-shirts) and put the children first. Sporting a diamanté Team Children t-shirt, he’s doing what him and Katie do best; writing the headlines on their t-shirts themselves before anyone else has a chance. Kinda unsporting, but then who was it who said a picture is worth a thousand words? What would they say if they found out that these days the t-shirt says it all?
